House · 6 Guests · 4 Bedrooms
The Seashells is a beautiful modern house , set over 4 floors, on the seafront at Littlestone on Sea, Kent. The house comfortably sleeps 8 in 4 spacious bedrooms, each with a bathroom. Two of the rooms can be set up as 2 x single beds or 1 x superking, meaning it's easy to accommodate families and friends alike. There are 3 balconies (one off the master bedroom) which have extensive, uninterrupted views across the English Channel. We have a large kitchen, with a dishwasher, American fridge freezer, coffee machine, wine/beer fridge, microwave and 2 x ovens. The kitchen is well equipped, meaning you can happily cook and eat in or try the local pubs and restaurants. There is a table for 8 people as well as some bar stools around the kitchen island for flexible dining. On the same floor there is a comfy seating area with a large TV for relaxing. The top floor has a second TV/lounge area, with a smart TV and a kitchenette area with a kettle and fridge. Most of the bedrooms have smart TVs and the house has wifi that serves all 4 floors. In the basement, the garage area has darts, table tennis and foosball and there is access to a sunny backyard with a bbq and table and chairs for eating outside. The beach is across a small, quiet road which means it is easy to go backwards and forwards if you fancy a beach day or a quick swim in the sea when the tide is in. Our stretch of beach is mostly pebbles, but just 10 minutes away the pebbles give way to large swathes of sandy beach at Greatstone, backed by sand dunes. If you are a watersports fan, there are plenty of opportunities to get out on the water, both in the sea and at the local watersports centre which has some amazing facilities on an inland lake including an inflatable course, jet skis, paddle boards etc. Parking around the house is free and plentiful. There is a shop in walking distance (10 mins) that sells fresh bread and a good range of groceries and alcohol! There are also a number of restaurants and pubs to walk to with New Romney being about 20/25 mins walk away. There are also several take aways doing great fish and chips, chinese and indian food within a short walk and a range of options available to be delivered via Just Eat!! There is a bus that goes to Folkestone & Dymchurch if you fancy a change of scene and the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is very close to the house with regular steam trains going from New Romney to Hythe via Dymchurch or to the Dungeness estate where the famous lighthouse and RSPB reserve is well worth a visit. A great place for a family holiday or a relaxing weekend away with friends. We particularly love the sea views in the winter months, where the sea can be heard crashing on to the beach - there really is nothing like it!
